About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Monitor government funding programs, procurement trends, and policy changes affecting the space sector
  • Collaborate with product, technical, legal, and executive teams to align business development strategies with company objectives
  • Travel frequently for client meetings, conferences, and industry engagements in the DACH region and beyond

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or contract acquisition within the space, defense, or aerospace industries
  • Strong track record of closing high-value government contracts
  • Deep network within the German military and defense sector and relevant German government agencies
  • Strong understanding of German government procurement processes, funding mechanisms, and export control regulations
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with product, technical, legal, and executive teams
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills tailored to government stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings, conferences, and industry engagements in the DACH region and beyond
  • Based in Munich or Berlin, or willing to relocate
  • Knowledge of purchase processes, RFP procedures, proposal development, and contract negotiation
  • Wide network of space industry contacts and professional connections in aerospace
