About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interpret and analyze reinsurance deals for accurate system entry and program setup
- Manage underwriting programs by maintaining data integrity, documentation, reports, and portfolio tracking
- Coordinate the renewal process, including gathering prior-year data, experience reports, AM Best information, and accounting items
- Review slips and contracts for accuracy, compare renewals, maintain diary systems, and ensure complete documentation supporting final contract terms
- Monitor accounts, premium activity, cash receipts, contract adjustments, and provisional notices of cancellation
- Partner with brokers, clients, Finance, Claims, IT, and Business Services to support contract administration and account processing
- Create and maintain management and portfolio reports using underwriting systems, Excel, and reporting tools
- Support business initiatives through research, financial analysis, presentations, marketing materials, and special projects
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), and contribute ideas that enhance team effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of reinsurance industry experience with a broker, reinsurer, or ceded reinsurance department
- Strong knowledge of reinsurance contract wording and underwriting support processes
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables; experience with Power BI is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work proactively, and collaborate effectively across teams
- Experience maintaining accurate data, producing reports, and supporting underwriting operations in a fast-paced environment
