About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assists underwriters with reviewing submissions, drafting quotes, binders, policies, and endorsements maintaining a field service reputation that is recognized as superior in the industry
Codes, bills, registers, processes, and distributes insurance invoices, binders, policies, and endorsement within processing standards established by leadership
Contacts external distribution partners for any required or outstanding underwriting information; pre or post binding as needed to underwrite and complete file documentation
Provides support for file audits by maintaining files and conducting file reviews, QA/QC as needed
Reviews and resolves premium discrepancies
Monitors the in-office underwriting workflow to meet service level agreements as determined by leadership as well as perform special projects as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree preferred
2 years of experience as a technical/underwriting assistant with similar duties, specifically in insurance preferred
Knowledge of and willingness to work as a team, supporting internal and external customers
Ability and willingness to learn and understand terminology, coverages and appetite for specific industry groups and customers
Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities as well as ability to multi-task while demonstrating attention to detail
