About the role

  • serve as a spokesperson for End Citizens United
  • manage media relations and advance the organization's messaging on issues related to democracy reform, campaign finance, government corruption, and voting rights
  • craft press materials and handle media inquiries
  • shape public narratives to amplify the organization's work
  • proactively pitch stories to media outlets
  • write press releases, op-eds, talking points, speeches, and other materials
  • build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets
  • plan and execute media campaigns

Requirements

  • multiple campaign cycles of experience in media relations, communications, and public relations
  • multiple campaign cycles of on-the-record experience is required
  • strong writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling press materials and clear messaging
  • a deep understanding of campaign finance reform, voting rights issues, and democracy reform
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
