About the role
- serve as a spokesperson for End Citizens United
- manage media relations and advance the organization's messaging on issues related to democracy reform, campaign finance, government corruption, and voting rights
- craft press materials and handle media inquiries
- shape public narratives to amplify the organization's work
- proactively pitch stories to media outlets
- write press releases, op-eds, talking points, speeches, and other materials
- build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets
- plan and execute media campaigns
Requirements
- multiple campaign cycles of experience in media relations, communications, and public relations
- multiple campaign cycles of on-the-record experience is required
- strong writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling press materials and clear messaging
- a deep understanding of campaign finance reform, voting rights issues, and democracy reform
- ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
