About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, direct, and support the talent acquisition function to meet the organization’s strategic and operational talent needs
- Develop talent acquisition strategies to attract a diverse pool of high-quality candidates
- Build and maintain reliable talent pipelines and deliver high levels of candidate and hiring-manager service
- Develop and maintain Encova Insurance’s employment brand with Marketing and business partners
- Partner with HR and company leadership on talent acquisition initiatives
- Manage the full recruiting process, including postings, sourcing, interviewing, selection, assessments, references, background checks, and offers
- Collaborate on offer details including salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other terms
- Mentor talent acquisition team members
- Manage assessment tools, system and performance-model updates, training, and vendor partnerships
- Ensure recruiting-data integrity and analyze recruiting metrics and scorecards
- Manage candidate-generation sources, including web sourcing, agencies, colleges, and associate referrals
- Develop and deliver recruiting-technique training for managers
- Manage external search partners and identify new partners as needed
- Collaborate with HR on campus and early-career development programs
- Oversee the intern program from a recruiting perspective
- Travel periodically to offices, college campuses, career fairs, and other recruiting venues
- Coordinate completion of background-report details for new and existing associates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum five years of proven full-cycle recruitment experience, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting, and hiring candidates
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience strongly preferred
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
- Experience or training in employment law, benefits and compensation, organizational planning, organization development, marketing, employee relations, or training preferred
- Demonstrated use of innovative talent acquisition techniques
- Experience and proficiency with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing, selection, and talent acquisition strategies, programs, vendors, and tools
- Ability to manage multiple duties accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead special projects alongside recruiting responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, web browsers, and LinkedIn
- Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving ability
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Experience recruiting for key roles and hard-to-fill positions
- Track record of effective relationships and partnerships with hiring managers
- Experience using effective selection tools
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Strong customer-service orientation
- Demonstrated strategic perspective
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
