About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and support regulatory compliance programs, processes, and initiatives for federal and provincial pipeline regulations
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and coordinate inspections, audits, information requests, and compliance communications
  • Provide regulatory compliance guidance and subject matter expertise to operations, projects, business development initiatives, and special projects
  • Develop compliance awareness programs and provide training to leadership and frontline employees
  • Coordinate and manage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities, including tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Support incident reporting, investigations, and emergency response activities, including Incident Command System participation as needed
  • Prepare compliance reports and maintain regulatory documentation
  • Support internal assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of related regulatory compliance, pipeline operations, or regulatory affairs experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Strong knowledge of federal and provincial pipeline regulations, CSA Z662, and applicable industry standards
  • Experience communicating and building relationships with regulators, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to advise operational and business leaders on compliance matters and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare reports, deliver training, and present recommendations clearly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business systems
  • Up to 25% travel
  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
