About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test and implement technical solutions for Liquids Pipeline business applications
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship and coaching to team members
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, use cases and fit-for-purpose Agile solutions
  • Lead analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of complex application, software and data issues
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical incidents
  • Partner with Business Analysts, developers and cross-functional IT teams
  • Contribute to service improvement through documentation, process enhancements and best practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve business effectiveness through innovative technologies and application enhancements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical discipline
  • 6+ years of full-stack software development experience
  • Strong understanding of software design, development and support practices
  • Experience in Agile and/or DevOps environments
  • Experience with automated testing, GitHub and modern software delivery practices
  • Knowledge of Azure services, PaaS platforms, data migration, transformation and integration concepts
  • Understanding of application security principles, secure integrations, Key Vault and private endpoint technologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate across teams and provide informal leadership, coaching and technical guidance
  • Preferred: 3+ years of team leadership or technical lead experience
  • Preferred: Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Networking/Firewall, Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL and NoSQL technologies
  • Preferred: Oil and Gas industry experience, including nominations processes and pipeline data concepts
  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
