About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and complete an annual regional training plan.
  • Manage the budget and schedule internal and external training activities.
  • Facilitate awareness and engagement sessions to support program implementation.
  • Integrate new hires and transfers into the field operations training program including LMS setup and orientation while maintaining accurate, up-to-date training and qualification records for all learners.
  • Provide oversight for evaluation and assessment activities conducted by Field Assessors.
  • Run system reports and provide progress updates to management.
  • Contribute to the design and refinement of training and competency verification programs centered on outcomes, involving coordination of subject matter expert reviews and assessments of training requirements.
  • Engage in internal evaluations, annual audits, and compliance verification to guarantee training and qualification procedures are efficient, consistent, and follow regulations.
  • Promote a culture of ongoing progress, teamwork, and accountability among team members.
  • Build strong relationships with regional collaborators and share standard methodologies with peers to ensure a consistent training approach.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Related university degree or equivalent experience and four plus years ’ experience OR six plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
  • Ability to solve problems by applying standard procedures or methods developed through previous experience.
  • Strong capacity to work independently, manage competing priorities and coordinate management of change activities related to training programs.
  • Broad business and technical knowledge with strong project management skills, awareness of collaborators, and the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of the plan-do-check-act process as it applies to management systems.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Preferred: Certificate in Adult or Continuing Education or another relevant professional certification; experience in training and competency development; classroom facilitation or Train the Trainer background.
  • Familiarity with oil and gas pipeline operations.
