About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide engineering support to field personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Region facilities.
  • Participate in Region safety program and station and construction site audits.
  • Perform assigned duties during emergency response activities.
  • Provide input to small operating and capital projects, support developing and implementing Special Costs and Capital AFEs.
  • Assist Pipeline Maintenance Services, Maintenance, and Operations on technical and compliance issues.
  • Provide support to US LP and MP Projects in developing and implementing projects affecting Operations.
  • Collaborate with technical standards group to ensure engineering standards, equipment specifications, and engineering construction specifications are aligned with regional work practices.
  • Establish working relationships with a cross section of stakeholders within the company, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and services providers.
  • Work with company subject matter experts to assist with the engineering needs of the region.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 4 years of pipeline engineering experience.
  • High level of personal initiative with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret technical problems as they arise and understand when to engage technical SMEs.
  • Ability to regularly shift between planned and unplanned activities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with leadership input and meet established deadlines while managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. This includes the ability to effectively interact with peers, internal stakeholders and equipment vendors.
  • Strong written communications abilities, including good spelling and grammar are essential for this position.
