About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop Inline Inspection programs (ILI), including selection of appropriate ILI tool technologies, determination of reinspection intervals, and forecasting of integrity digs.
- Conduct integrity assessments such as fit for service evaluations, crack fatigue analysis, corrosion growth rate calculations, and threat interaction assessments.
- Evaluate ILI tool performance and investigate data discrepancies by comparing Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) results from integrity digs against ILI data.
- Support operational change assessments and incident investigations through engineering analysis and technical recommendations.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations to support pipeline integrity decision making.
- Collaborate with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on industry papers, technical studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of a degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Registered member with APEGA as P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta.
- A minimum of four years of dynamically responsible experience in engineering.
- Ability to communicate effectively with excellent presentation and technical writing skills.
- Understanding of pipeline strength evaluation methods is preferred.
