About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the conceptualisation, design, and execution of creative campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Develop innovative visual concepts that align with business objectives and brand strategy
  • Produce high-quality design assets for digital, social media, website, email marketing, events, presentations, and print collateral
  • Provide creative guidance and mentorship to junior designers and marketing team members
  • Ensure all creative output maintains exceptional quality standards and brand consistency
  • Develop and execute social-first creative strategies across platforms such as: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter) and YouTube
  • Create engaging static, animated, and video-based content designed to increase audience engagement and brand awareness
  • Design social media campaigns tailored to platform-specific audiences and best practices.
  • Monitor current social media design trends and adapt content accordingly
  • Collaborate with content creators, copywriters, and marketing teams to develop impactful campaigns
  • Utilise AI-powered creative tools to enhance content development, efficiency, and innovation
  • Generate AI-assisted visual concepts, imagery, graphics, and campaign assets
  • Leverage AI tools for: Image generation, Video creation and editing, Motion graphics, Creative ideation, Content repurposing, Design automation
  • Develop processes and governance for responsible AI usage within creative workflows
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve creative output and productivity
  • Maintain and strengthen the company's visual identity across all channels
  • Develop and manage brand guidelines and creative standards
  • Ensure consistency across all customer-facing communications and marketing materials
  • Partner with marketing and business stakeholders to develop integrated campaigns
  • Translate campaign strategy into compelling visual executions
  • Provide creative solutions that support lead generation, engagement, recruitment, and brand-building initiatives
  • Contribute to campaign planning and creative brainstorming sessions
  • Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Coordinate with printers, agencies, freelancers, videographers, and other external suppliers
  • Review and approve artwork before production and publication
  • Ensure efficient workflow management and project prioritisation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor's Degree, National Diploma, or equivalent qualification in: Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design or Digital Design
  • Minimum 5–8 years' professional graphic design experience
  • Proven experience managing social media creative campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience creating engaging digital-first content
  • Experience working with AI-powered creative and content generation tools
  • Strong portfolio showcasing: Branding projects, social media campaigns, Digital marketing assets, Motion graphics/video content, AI-generated creative work
  • Valid drivers license and own transport as some travel is required.
