About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Builders, Designers, General Contractors, and walk-in customers
  • Deliver customer service in person and over the phone
  • Greet customers, resolve inquiries and complaints, and build customer relationships
  • Enter and verify orders and account information in the JDE system
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with Branch Operations and Sales teams to support customer experience and branch and market goals
  • Support showroom customers with the ISR and/or Operations Manager
  • Perform warehouse operations including inspecting, identifying, handling, consolidating, labeling, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping inventory
  • Maintain and reconcile warehouse inventory and address discrepancies
  • Generate inventory reports under supervisor direction
  • Handle will-call customers
  • Assist with showroom maintenance, sample and label updates, and monthly showroom audits
  • Receive, record, issue, and transport goods
  • Prepare basic sample boards
  • Perform other tasks supporting customer service and warehouse operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–3 years of experience in building, construction, design, or warehouse environments preferred
  • Results-driven, customer-focused, highly organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
  • Leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, and listening skills
  • Relationship-building skills and composure under pressure
  • Knowledge of database and query functions
  • Functional computer skills
  • Ability to read and respond to non-verbal communication
  • Excellent basic math skills, including piece-to-square-foot calculations and product counting/tracking
  • Ability to create basic sample boards
  • Ability to handle inventory safely and efficiently
  • Forklift certification and wet saw experience are a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, or another language as appropriate for the area
  • Must pass a background check
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently is required
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, climb, and balance
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, varying temperatures, and loud noise
  • Ability to talk on the phone and use computers for extended periods
  • Regular, predictable attendance
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and follow the company dress code
