About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, including Builders, Designers, General Contractors, and walk-in customers.
- Greet customers, resolve inquiries and complaints, and build lasting relationships.
- Enter and verify orders and account information in the JDE system.
- Work collaboratively with the Branch Operations team and Sales Team members.
- Support the ISR and/or Operations Manager with walk-in showroom customers.
- Perform warehouse operations as needed, including inspecting, handling, labeling, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping inventory.
- Maintain and reconcile warehouse inventory and generate inventory reports.
- Efficiently handle will-call customers and ensure professional service.
- Assist in showroom maintenance and conduct monthly showroom audits.
- Perform inventory receiving, recording, issuing, and transporting goods as required.
- Assist Operations Manager and/or ISR prepare basic sample boards for branch or customer showrooms.
- Perform other tasks to support customer service and warehouse operations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-3 years of experience in building, construction, design, or warehouse environments preferred.
- Results-driven, customer-focused, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and thrive in a busy environment.
- Outstanding leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, and listening skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills and composure under pressure.
- Knowledge of database and query functions; functional computer skills required.
- Ability to accurately read and respond to non-verbal communication.
- Excellent basic math skills, including piece-to-square-foot calculations and product counting/tracking.
- Experience in forklift operation and using a wet saw are a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, or other language as appropriate for the area.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
