About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop moderately complex automated test scripts
Execute automated test cases and report results
Independently identify, document, and track software defects to resolution using tools such as JIRA
Document test cases, test results, and defects clearly and concisely
Collaborate with software engineering and cross-functional teams to understand application functionality and testing requirements
Maintain and update existing automated test scripts to reflect application changes and enhancements
Follow and recommend automation best practices
Guide associate automation quality engineers and support their skills development
Perform manual testing when needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–4 years overall testing experience with 1–2 years automation testing experience or equivalent automation training
Proficiency in Java programming language (Core concepts)
Strong understanding of and experience with requirement analysis
Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Karate, JUnit, and TestNG
Debugging skills
Experience using version control systems such as Git
Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
Familiarity with SQL and database testing
Experience in UI/API functional testing
Experience using JIRA and ZE management tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
Good design and estimation techniques desired
Strong communication and teamwork skills preferred
Knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins is a plus
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies desired
