About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
Create robust and scalable test automation frameworks and scripts independently
Lead execution of automated test cases and interpret results to identify issues
Identify, document, and manage software defects through resolution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC
Assist with building automation strategies
Assist in integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline
Mentor lower-level test/quality automation engineers and provide technical guidance
Stay current with test automation trends and technologies and implement improvements
Participate in innovation efforts such as AI
Assist in setting automation best practices
Assist in documenting training materials and provide training on automation tools and frameworks
Perform manual testing when needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

4-7 years overall testing experience with 2-4 years in automation testing or equivalent automation training
Strong proficiency in Java programming language (Core concepts)
Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
Good experience with API automation tool Karate
Good experience with UI automation tools Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG
Experience using CI/CD tool Jenkins and building pipelines
Very strong communication skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
Excellent ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex design and issues
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
Experience in mentoring test automation teams preferred
Ability to work in a professional office environment and use standard office equipment
