About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- responsible for researching, designing, and producing instructional content for instructor-led and eLearning materials supporting leadership, job-specific, onboarding, and other people and technical-related skillsets
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal customers to gather relevant content and develop blended learning solutions inclusive of instructor-led sessions, virtual classroom experiences, as well as self-paced e-learning and materials
- Use adult learning theory and knowledge of current learners to create learning solutions which encourage an interactive, engaging experience and are thought provoking
- Evaluate outcomes and continuously improve course material to maximize return on investment
- Consider performance analysis impacts to sort training and non-training issues
- Apply principles of current cognition and adult learning theories, Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies, and new media technologies
- Develop assessment strategies
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, clients, and development team
- Research learning and development best practices and proactively identify new technologies and content that improve organizational performance
- Demonstrate ability to adapt and change to new practices and processes as the way we work is enhanced
- Author content directly into eLearning development tools such as Adobe InDesign, Articulate Rise/Storyline, and Camtasia
- Utilize generative AI tools, including ChatGPT, in various stages of the development process
- Ensure consistency of instructional design standards and processes
- Evaluate learning design to ensure effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design or related field or commensurate business experience
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Instructional Design in both Instructor-led and eLearning formats, or related commensurate business experience
- Experience building effective leadership development programs
- Experience developing large training programs from beginning to end
- Firm understanding of instructional design/technique
- Firm understanding of project management and ability to work to deadlines
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills essential
- Strong computer and technical writing skills required
- Strong technical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment and independently and build relationships with SMEs and stakeholders
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Commitment to understanding and utilizing new technology
- Intermediate experience in eLearning development tools, especially Articulate
- Experience utilizing ChatGPT or other generative AI tools to enhance and expedite development processes
- Certification in ISD or Performance Improvement a plus
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe InDesign) a plus
- Financial Services background a plus
