About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements with a focus on platform solutions and capabilities
  • Author user stories and work with Technical Developers to groom, refine and prioritize into logical components based on estimates and time available
  • Define and document business rules, and decision logic to support automated processes
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of IDP, workflow and automation
  • Evaluate existing processes and recommend enhancements, optimizations, and new automation opportunities
  • Conduct impact assessments & risk analysis for new automation opportunities
  • Support governance, compliance, and audit requirements for intake and workflow
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, lead user acceptance testing and business exploration of new solutions, support change acceptance, and support training & change management
  • Facilitate both remote and in-person working sessions with key stakeholders
  • Lead your work independently, creating project plans for your activities, communicating and meeting due dates
  • Collaborate and provide guidance to other Business Analysts.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, IDP, workflow and business rule automation, process improvement, or related roles
  • Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and stakeholder management
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, working with incomplete information to drive clarity and actionable next steps
  • Experience in financial services, insurance or investments is an asset
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in agile environments
  • Experience in rules harvesting, rules authoring, decision automation, business rules management systems, and rules-based decisioning frameworks is an asset
  • Financial services, insurance business or investments knowledge is an asset.
