About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a lead technical expert and mentor within the security engineering team
- Drive the implementation of advanced security controls
- Guide technical decisions and provide subject matter expertise
- Ensure excellent customer service for internal and external customers
- Manage troubleshooting of Prisma Access for secure remote connectivity
- Design, evaluate and implement security related solutions
- Ensure team adherence to established change control processes
- Collaborate with systems and network engineers
- Lead the incident response team
- Validate security control coverage based on emerging cyber threat intelligence
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 8-10 years’ experience in information technology or related field within the last 10 years
- Palo Alto certification
- CCIE Routing and Switching or Security certification
- AWS Solutions Architect certification
- 7+ years of experience with managing security controls
- 4+ years experience in AWS and Azure cloud operations
- 6+ years of technical experience working with security solutions
- 6+ years of network security experience
- 4+ years web application firewalls
- 7+ years of experience with network protocols, data flows, and attacks
- 5+ years of experience in building configurations for security devices
- extensive knowledge of security software and related protocols
- 2+ years experience implementing security measures for Kubernetes
- 5+ years of experience performing network security administration
- 3+ years programming/scripting experience (Python, shell)
