About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Overseeing and reviewing U.S. GAAP, IFRS, regulatory, tax and/or Board financial reporting for investment portfolios
Assists with the investment reporting function for U.S. and Canadian GAAP
Ensures procedures are written
Trains team on assignment requirements
Proposes new disclosures and modifications to reports
Assists with creation of new disclosures related to new investment types
Will oversee and review information produced for audits of Investments
Conducts performance reviews, approves requests for vacation/PAL

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
6-8 years of Big Four financial reporting experience
Minimum 10 years of people manager experience
CPA preferred
Advanced Excel skills
MS Access skills preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to independently manage department workload and proactively identify improvements as necessary.
