About the role
- Lead and manage a regional team(s) with the purpose of executing on a regional growth strategy and business plan that identifies new business opportunities for maximizing defined contribution plan (457(b), 403(b), 401(k)) participation, assets and savings rates as well as improve the participant’s overall diversification and wealth accumulation and distribution strategy
- Maximize the adoption and use of Empower products and services, including Managed Accounts through Empower Advisory Services
- Create an environment of safety, autonomy, high-accountability, support, coaching and feedback that fosters an environment of employee high performance, engagement, learning and career development
- Ensure the team is adhering to a consistent service model by using Empower technological resources and counseling processes while adhering to corporate policies and procedures
- As the Supervising Principal, ensure that all regulatory and fiduciary rules and standards are adhered to by tracking and monitoring the associated records
- Facilitate training sessions to enhance service activities, compliance requirements and corporate/industry policies and procedures
- Build strong partnerships with key regional personnel, plan sponsor representatives and internal and external stakeholders to maximize the distribution and use of Empower products and services and carry out strategic initiatives
- Analyze and control all expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements
- Participate in the delivery of sales presentation along with Regional Sales Directors and key members of senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
- 7 - 10 years experience in Financial Services industry
- Understanding of management, training, coaching & leadership principles
- General understanding of technology software with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and learn new systems
- Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade others, driving behavioral change and personal development while identifying and executing strategies that support organizational initiatives and exceed corporate goals
- FINRA 6, 63, 26 & 65 registrations required within corporate-established timelines. FINRA fingerprinting required.
