About the role

  • Develop and continuously maintain a testing strategy (test pyramid, quality gates, Definition of Done) in close collaboration with Product and Development.
  • Design, implement and maintain automated tests at the UI, API and integration levels, including writing test code in the project's primary programming language.
  • Build and extend test frameworks and tooling, and optimize test stability and execution times.
  • Conduct API, data and system tests, set up test data, implement mocking/stubbing and perform checks for data integrity and migrations.
  • Perform exploratory and risk-based testing of new features and actively support release readiness and post-release quality (monitoring, root cause analysis).
  • Act as a sparring partner for development teams on test design, automation and testable architecture/observability.

Requirements

  • You have completed training in application development or hold a completed technical degree.
  • You have at least 2–3 years of experience in test automation.
  • You have practical experience working with REST-based web services.
  • You have basic experience using and developing with JavaScript or C#.
  • Ideally, you have strong knowledge in developing REST-based APIs.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken German and English.
  • You have a quick grasp of new concepts and a desire to continuously develop and learn new things.
  • A careful, independent and team-oriented working style completes your profile.
