About the role
- Provide consultations and advice on foundational financial topics to plan participants.
- Educate and advise plan participants on the Advisory Services available through their plan to assist the participant in reaching their retirement goals.
- Gains and employs expert knowledge about RPAT plan rules, processes, procedures, and key stakeholders inclusive of plan advisors, third-party administrators, and internal Workplace Solutions partners.
- Proactively identify customer retirement planning needs and utilize Empower Best Interest Profile (BIP) tool to deliver fiduciary recommendations relating to all advice modules, including investment advice.
- Accountable to customers implementing recommendations and assisting with completion, including account rebalancing or enrollment in managed accounts.
- Must be able to comprehensively explain the methodology behind the services and offer solutions to assist the participant reach their financial goals.
- Identify, execute, and follow-up on opportunities to contract additional client assets while providing client retirement planning discussions.
- Adhere to compliance/risk procedures and exhibit detailed attention to policy and procedures by focusing on the participant’s best interest.
- Responsible for providing fiduciary advice by leveraging Empower Best Interest Profile tool when appropriate.
Requirements
- FINRA Series 7, and 66 (or Series 63 and Series 65) registrations required within corporate-established timelines.
- FINRA fingerprinting required.
- CFP and/or CRPC preferred
- 3+ years financial industry experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams.
- Self-starter with demonstrated success in problem solving.
- Experience working in a metrics/activity driven team.
- Goal and results oriented with high level of accountability to produce positive results that directly correlate to retention and increasing assets under management and participant growth for managed accounts.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
