About the role
- Develop and execute clinical operations strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Converts strategy and departmental goals into operational plans
- Lead clinical teams including nurses, and allied health professionals in both remote and in-office settings
- Ensure high-quality, evidence-based care delivery across all virtual platforms
- Create and consistently assess a workforce management approach that results in efficient and effective patient care
- Oversee day-to-day and long term workforce management including clinical workflows, staffing models, and performance metrics
- Implement systems for clinical documentation, scheduling, and patient engagement
- Optimize telehealth tools and platforms for seamless care delivery
- Influences department-level outcomes, team culture, and localized initiatives
- Monitor clinical outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards (e.g., HIPAA, NCQA)
- Lead audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans
- Proactively identify areas of opportunity to improve patient care and internal processes
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor clinical staff
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams to enhance virtual care offerings
- Collaborate with data analytics teams to evaluate clinical performance and patient satisfaction
- Represent clinical operations in executive and board-level discussions
Requirements
- Advanced clinical degree (e.g., RN, NP, PA, MD, DO) required; MPH, MBA, or MHA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in clinical operations, with at least 3 years in a telehealth or remote care setting
- Proven leadership in scaling clinical programs and managing distributed teams
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, quality frameworks, and digital health technologies
- Demonstrated analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and synthesize data from multiple sources to inform strategic and operational business decisions.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills
- Passion for health equity and expanding access to care.
- Experience with remote, medical, surgical, oncology or behavioral health care (preferred)
- Proficiency with EMRs, care coordination platforms, and AI (preferred)
