About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct independent, evidence-based medical reviews and utilization reviews.
- Review patient records and related documentation in alignment with clinical guidelines.
- Provide objective, high-quality reports within turnaround timelines.
- Maintain compliance with URAC, HIPAA, and internal quality standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Specialty in Spine Surgery is preferred.
- NY WCB Authorization is preferred.
- Current, unrestricted U.S. state medical license.
- Engaged in clinical practice 20 hours/week or more.
- Experience in peer review, utilization review, or independent medical examination is preferred but not required.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to document findings clearly.
- Comfortable working independently and using online review platforms.
