Coordinate major financial reporting and budgeting activities
Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements
Coordinate correction of account balances, resolve funding issues, and maintain proper accounting controls and procedures
Prepare and analyze statistical and financial reports, financial statements, and supporting schedules
Assist in preparing, developing, and monitoring department/organizational budgets
Maintain grant agreements, coordinate grant reporting requirements, review grant funding source compliance, and negotiate grant funding with awarding agencies
Perform indirect cost analysis as needed
Manage activities for monthly and fiscal financial close, reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting
Research and analyze complex financial and statistical data, create advanced models, generate KPI reports, and publish documents and presentations for leadership
Champion ad hoc finance and business operations projects and collaborate across teams
Serve as subject matter expert on internal financial systems, processes, and reports
Responsible for unit’s ad hoc expense approvals and procurement needs
Assist with student funding financial information and reporting and interface with faculty, staff, and students to reconcile accounts
Report to the Director of Business and Finance and work closely with LGS CBO
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance or a related field
Four years of financial analyst or accounting experience OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
Residency in the state of GA
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Proficiency with analyzing, interpreting, and succinctly synthesizing large amounts of financial, statistical, and operational data
Experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to quickly grasp new Financial Reporting & Planning systems
Intellectual and technological curiosity with minimal supervision
