About the role

  • Manages all aspects of the Volunteer Emory (VE) program, providing the Emory community with service opportunities.
  • Provides leadership to University-wide working groups and committees on Community Engagement.
  • Initiates and manages intentional, strategic partnerships within and outside of the Emory community.
  • Manages all aspects of a $200,000 budget for community engagement initiatives.
  • Supports the integration of community engagement into programs throughout the Office and Division.
  • Engages faculty in social justice and community engagement initiatives.
  • Oversees administration and operations for all student engagement and community-facing initiatives for the department.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in the field of student activities.
  • Experience advising student organizations preferred.
  • Experience with students in theological or religious education preferred.
  • Strategic planner with attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
  • Experience and aptitude in management and analysis of numerical data.
  • Appreciation of the nature of the ordained ministry and the ministry of the laity.
