About the role

  • Provide strategic leadership for research technology and data infrastructure
  • Partner with faculty, doctoral students, research centers, and administrative leadership
  • Manage and supervise staff and operations in an IT area
  • Advise management on compliance issues
  • Design information systems to support division operations
  • Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for research infrastructure
  • Consult with faculty on software needs and provide support for research projects
  • Lead the design and management of secure research environments
  • Establish policies for data governance and compliance
  • Develop and manage the research computing budget
  • Foster a service-oriented culture focused on innovation and responsiveness

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and five years of related IT experience including project management and lead or supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Master's degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Experience in a top-tier research university or business school environment (preferred)
  • Familiarity with IRB processes, sponsored research compliance, and federal funding requirements (preferred)
  • Background in AI/ML platforms, high-performance computing, or large-scale data environments (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, data governance, and research data security (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills (preferred)
