About the role

  • Supports the Programs Development Department in planning and implementing fundraising activities
  • Creates grant proposals and other essential written materials
  • Manages a specific portfolio of fundraising projects
  • Collaborates with Senior Associate Directors on fundraising and donor stewardship
  • Works on writing projects and system improvements for grants management
  • Periodic domestic and international travel may be required.
  • Ensures compliance with donor branding requirements
  • Develops and implements systems that improve the overall Programs Development department’s complex grant oversight and management.
  • Provides mentorship and supervision to interns on a rotating basis.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and three years of experience in fundraising or related field OR an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.
  • Substantial writing proficiency, e.g., proposal writing, narrative reports to donors, fundraising publications, newsletters, as well as external and internal correspondence.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing and implementing successful fundraising/development operations, data management, events management, and office administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Raiser’s Edge experience.
  • Experience in fundraising and grants management for international programs is desirable.
  • International development program experience.
