About the role

  • Develop, implement and evaluate recruitment strategies and activities for one or more academic programs
  • Attend recruitment functions, visit high schools and college fairs, and maintain contact with prospective students
  • Coordinate admission programs for prospective, accepted, international or transfer student groups
  • Plan travel itineraries and ensure adequate coverage of priority geographic areas
  • Review applications, provide comments, assign admission ratings, and recommend decisions (accept/refer/reject/waitlist)
  • Conduct information sessions and campus tours; respond to inquiries about admission, housing, financial aid, and academics
  • Assist in planning special events and alumni volunteer activities to enhance recruitment
  • Plan, coordinate and implement training programs for new Admission Advisors
  • Serve on Admissions Committee reviewing approximately 1,000 applicants and collaborate across selection calendar
  • Lead special projects assigned by supervisor and support on-campus visitation programs (in-person and virtual)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three years of university or college admission experience
  • Valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record
  • Effective public speaking skills
  • Comfortable with hybrid model of virtual and in-person programming and office work
  • Willingness to travel approximately 3 weeks in the fall and 2 weeks in the spring
  • Excellent communication skills for in-person and virtual presentations; ability to create new content
  • Knowledge of other undergraduate colleges (Nursing, Oxford, Business)
  • Availability to work some weekends and evenings during busy cycles
