About the role
- Lead, grow, and develop a team of approximately 15 people - fantastic product developers, engineers, project managers and designers to develop the best sleep products in the industry.
- Directly report to the Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Manuel Müller and together have a strategic view on product development process to maximize efficiency, minimize costs and improve the value of Emma products.
- Manage the collaboration with international suppliers by developing the best products with the highest quality in the shortest time frames.
- Work on launching of new products throughout different markets and countries.
- Generate insights by developing a close and deep understanding of the industry, production lines, materials, and suppliers.
- Think outside of the box, finding ideas to elevate the product portfolio of Emma and improve people’s sleep.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience in product development or engineering of physical products. Preferably some experience within a start/scale-up environment.
- Successfully completed studies in a relevant course with strong achievements (product development, project management, engineering).
- Experience in leading multi-functional high-performing teams.
- Fascinated by sleep, foams, springs, and fast scalable business models.
- Fluent in English.
