About the role

  • As Sales Manager you are responsible for closing contracts with new customers, particularly with mid-sized and large insurance companies
  • You manage the entire sales funnel — from opportunity identification and needs analysis to contract signing — and act as a strategic sales professional with technical advisory expertise
  • Independently manage the entire sales process
  • Conduct discovery calls, solution pitches, proposal negotiations and closings
  • Close collaboration with presales, product, legal and partners
  • Customer consulting and solution selling
  • Develop customized solution scenarios based on the EMIL Insurance Suite
  • Advise on business value, feasibility, ROI and IT integration
  • Support the preparation of statements of work (SoWs), pricing and contract models
  • Responsible for pipeline and forecasting
  • Build and maintain your sales pipeline in the CRM system
  • Responsible for target achievement, forecasting and close planning
  • Use structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger)
  • Stakeholder and buying-center management
  • Identify and manage all decision-making stakeholders (IT, business units, procurement, executive management)
  • Build trust and long-term relationships with key contacts
  • Market development & competitive monitoring
  • Analyze market and customer needs, support the go-to-market strategy
  • Differentiate EMIL from competitors
  • Provide customer feedback to product development and marketing

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in software sales within the insurance or IT sector
  • Proven track record in closing enterprise deals (six- to seven-figure deal values)
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, contract negotiations and IT system landscapes
  • Highly self-motivated, structured working style and strong closing ability
  • Strong communication and presentation skills at C-level
  • German at native level, good written and spoken English; French is a plus
