About the role
- As Sales Manager you are responsible for closing contracts with new customers, particularly with mid-sized and large insurance companies
- You manage the entire sales funnel — from opportunity identification and needs analysis to contract signing — and act as a strategic sales professional with technical advisory expertise
- Independently manage the entire sales process
- Conduct discovery calls, solution pitches, proposal negotiations and closings
- Close collaboration with presales, product, legal and partners
- Customer consulting and solution selling
- Develop customized solution scenarios based on the EMIL Insurance Suite
- Advise on business value, feasibility, ROI and IT integration
- Support the preparation of statements of work (SoWs), pricing and contract models
- Responsible for pipeline and forecasting
- Build and maintain your sales pipeline in the CRM system
- Responsible for target achievement, forecasting and close planning
- Use structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger)
- Stakeholder and buying-center management
- Identify and manage all decision-making stakeholders (IT, business units, procurement, executive management)
- Build trust and long-term relationships with key contacts
- Market development & competitive monitoring
- Analyze market and customer needs, support the go-to-market strategy
- Differentiate EMIL from competitors
- Provide customer feedback to product development and marketing
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software sales within the insurance or IT sector
- Proven track record in closing enterprise deals (six- to seven-figure deal values)
- Strong understanding of sales processes, contract negotiations and IT system landscapes
- Highly self-motivated, structured working style and strong closing ability
- Strong communication and presentation skills at C-level
- German at native level, good written and spoken English; French is a plus
