About the role
- Play a key role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of EMIL’s cloud platform
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to streamline our infrastructure, automate deployments, and evolve our system architecture to support a growing set of products and customers
- Optimization and automation of processes in our software engineering environment
- Designing and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on AWS (and occasionally other clouds)
- Implementing and improving Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
- Monitoring, analyzing, and continuously improving system performance, robustness, and scalability
- Collaborating closely with software engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance developer experience
- Designing resilient architectures for new services, features, and platform components
- Proactively identifying recurring operational issues and developing long-term solutions
- Providing input on improving internal processes and best practices across engineering
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role
- Experience with AWS
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
- Great affinity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and container technologies (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes)
- Good understanding of observability tools and performance monitoring
- A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- High quality standards, self-initiative and willingness to take on responsibility
