About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and manage the technical and/or commercial aspects of proposals
- Manage technical and commercial offerings, including bills of materials, EET reports, pricing, contractual terms, and proposal narratives
- Compile services, materials, buyouts, pricing, payment terms, cash flow analysis, commercial compliance, and proposal basis terms and conditions
- Assist with commercial proposal strategy to mitigate project commercial risk and support scope and profitability growth
- Develop work practices for assigned processes
- Coordinate with Technical, Legal, Procurement, other Emerson divisions, and Technical Writers on proposal documentation
- Develop Risk and Opportunity Assessments and Mitigation Reviews with proposal team members
- Manage clarifications and assumptions and present them appropriately in proposal narratives
- Own information required in Emerson estimating tools
- Complete client-required technical and commercial formats
- Assist with Delegation of Authority approval presentations
- Generate, collect, disseminate, store, and dispose of proposal information
- Influence staff and senior leaders through sound judgment and thoughtful challenges
- Update project and reference databases, libraries, metrics, and pricing tools
- Identify, develop, and implement proposal best practices and corporate standards
- Administer and monitor assigned processes
- Support the team with Price Book and quoting tools
- Work on more than three different industry applications when needed
- Provide reports and support for upper management
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Electronics, Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics or related field
- At least 3 years experience coordinating and managing the technical and/or commercial aspects of proposals or closely related experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of control and PLC/DCS, 3rd party integration, applications and interfaces
- Knowledge of field instrumentation, metering, control and automated valves, and bus technologies
- Strong working command of English; at least B2 Upper Intermediate level required
- At least 5 years of closely related experience preferred
