About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate development of industrial communication systems and interfaces for various signals, including IO modules, from initial concept through series production
Define system architecture and develop detailed designs
Support prototyping and prototype manufacturing
Create software for industrial fieldbus systems and controllers
Process sensor-signal information
Define and implement functional and system tests
Support EMC approval and production introduction
Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, and software developers in an international environment
Work with engineers at other Emerson locations to complete projects and achieve business goals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field of study
Several years of industry experience developing sophisticated electronic systems
Experience working in international development teams
Knowledge of all major industrial fieldbus systems
Familiarity with common sensors and their signal processing
Proficiency in C programming and the Altium layout system
Strong analytical thinking and structured work approach
Clear communication skills
Motivation and ability to collaborate with internal customers and colleagues in national and international projects
Fluent English skills required
German language skills preferred
Experience working in a matrix organization and with remote teams preferred
