About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate development of industrial communication systems and interfaces for various signals, including IO modules, from initial concept through series production
- Define system architecture and develop detailed designs
- Support prototyping and prototype manufacturing
- Create software for industrial fieldbus systems and controllers
- Process sensor-signal information
- Define and implement functional and system tests
- Support EMC approval and production introduction
- Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, and software developers in an international environment
- Work with engineers at other Emerson locations to complete projects and achieve business goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field of study
- Several years of industry experience developing sophisticated electronic systems
- Experience working in international development teams
- Knowledge of all major industrial fieldbus systems
- Familiarity with common sensors and their signal processing
- Proficiency in C programming and the Altium layout system
- Strong analytical thinking and structured work approach
- Clear communication skills
- Motivation and ability to collaborate with internal customers and colleagues in national and international projects
- Fluent English skills required
- German language skills preferred
- Experience working in a matrix organization and with remote teams preferred
