About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead automation and control system projects ranging from $500K to $10M+ from kickoff through completion
  • Own project scope, schedule, budget, customer expectations, and key execution decisions
  • Serve as trusted advisor and primary customer point of contact
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, field service, sales, marketing, and commercial teams
  • Manage project performance, risks, obstacles, and progress communications
  • Lead contract execution, scope management, change orders, and customer negotiations
  • Champion safety, quality, cybersecurity, and operational excellence
  • Strengthen customer relationships and support future business growth
  • Deliver Ovation automation solutions that modernize power generation facilities and support critical infrastructure across North America

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Project Management, Project Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience leading projects involving engineered systems, industrial technologies, or operational environments requiring technical coordination
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while managing changes and competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 20% in North America
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or another engineering specialization
  • Preferred: PMP®, PgMP®, or similar certification
  • Preferred: Knowledge of industrial automation and integrated hardware/software systems
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Emerson Ovation™, DCS, or PLC platforms
  • Preferred: PMI-based, Agile, or hybrid project management methodologies
  • Preferred: Experience in power generation, water/wastewater, renewable energy, or critical infrastructure
  • Preferred: EPC project experience and site-based activities
