About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead automation and control system projects ranging from $500K to $10M+ from kickoff through completion
- Own project scope, schedule, budget, customer expectations, and key project decisions
- Serve as trusted advisor and primary customer point of contact from award through completion
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, field service, sales, marketing, and commercial teams
- Manage project performance, risks, obstacles, and progress communications
- Lead contract execution, scope management, change orders, and customer negotiations
- Champion safety, quality, cybersecurity, and operational excellence throughout project delivery
- Strengthen customer relationships and support future business growth
- Expand expertise in critical infrastructure and industrial automation
- Deliver retrofit solutions using Ovation automation solutions for power generation facilities across North America
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Project Management, Project Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to travel up to 20% in North America
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or other engineering specialization
- Preferred: Experience leading complex projects using formal project management practices
- Preferred: PMP®, PgMP®, or similar certification
- Preferred: Knowledge of industrial automation and integrated hardware/software systems
- Preferred: Familiarity with Emerson Ovation™, DCS, or PLC platforms
- Preferred: PMI-based, Agile, or hybrid project management methodologies
- Preferred: Experience in power generation, water/wastewater, renewable energy, or critical infrastructure
- Preferred: Experience supporting EPC projects and site-based activities
