About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute and oversee complex general-ledger accounting activities
Prepare and post complex, high-impact journal entries
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
Perform detailed account analysis and explain variances to stakeholders and business partners
Ensure compliance with SLA targets and identify risks and mitigation actions
Act as a key accounting point of contact for assigned entities or business units
Provide guidance on accounting treatment and resolve complex accounting issues
Support knowledge transfer, process documentation, and standardization
Drive continuous improvement and automation opportunities across R2R processes
Support internal and external audits
Participate in financial closing and reporting activities
Develop analyses and insights for business and finance stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
5+ years of progressive general accounting experience
Preferably experience in multinational or Big 4 environments
Strong experience in Shared Services or global operations environments
Advanced knowledge of accounting processes, financial reporting, and USGAAP
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and automation tools
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent
Proven experience in continuous improvement or process optimization across accounting processes
Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex accounting scenarios independently
Strong communication skills for stakeholder interaction across functions and geographies
Advanced English proficiency (B2 level)
Preferred: CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification
Preferred: experience with financial consolidation and reporting tools such as Hyperion
Preferred: advanced knowledge of accruals, provisions, and complex accounting topics
Preferred: experience and advanced knowledge of Inventory or Cost Accounting
Preferred: Continuous Improvement or Project Management certification such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or Agile
Preferred: experience supporting automation or digital transformation initiatives
