About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead corporate accounting and financial reporting activities for the global balance sheet
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Lead, review, and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses
- Review financial statement disclosures and external reporting requirements
- Guide daily accounting operations for unintegrated acquired entities across multiple ERP environments
- Standardize and scale global accounting processes, policies, and procedures
- Develop and implement accounting policies with Corporate Accounting leadership
- Drive automation, simplification, standardization, and optimization initiatives
- Lead special projects and strategic financial close and reporting initiatives
- Oversee system upgrades, ERP enhancements, and finance transformation implementations
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
- Coordinate audit activities and resolve audit inquiries
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on accounting matters and business initiatives
- Develop, mentor, and manage accounting team members
- Foster accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a Fortune 500 company and/or public accounting firm
- 2+ years of people leadership or demonstrated experience leading teams, projects, or complex accounting initiatives
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls over financial reporting
- Experience managing month-end close and balance sheet review processes within a complex global organization
- Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion
- Experience driving process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and global environment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- No current or future work authorization sponsorship required
