About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the software strategy and development for the next generation of Rosemount Magnetic and Vortex Flowmeters
Provide technical and organizational leadership to develop complex embedded software products and systems
Direct domestic and global teams to define software architecture and coding techniques
Prepare detailed multi-year plans for complex programs and establish technical program goals
Interact frequently with customers, vendors, and supporting cross-functional groups
Prepare technical proposals and represent Emerson to standards bodies
Administer technical policies and procedures
Provide technical consultation throughout the company within areas of expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
Ten (10) years of related software engineering experience
Two (2) years of leadership experience in an industrial or technology organization
Familiarity with coding standards (MISRA), version control, defect tracking, and modern requirements management tooling (Jama, DOORS, Azure DevOps)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Up to 10% travel required (domestic and international)
Legal authorization to work in the United States
