About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review customer specifications and technical requirements to design suitable electrical assemblies;
  • Build user documentation including wiring diagrams, enclosure layouts, bills of materials (BOMs), and ATEX compliance documentation;
  • Select components and configure assemblies in line with ATEX/IECEx requirements and internal engineering standards;
  • Collaborate with internal teams—Quotation, Customer Services, Sales, and Manufacturing—to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of engineered solutions;
  • Support pre-sales activities with technical recommendations and concept designs when required;
  • Make sure all designs align with applicable international standards, certification guidelines, and quality expectations;
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate engineering data within design and ERP tools;
  • Promote team efficiency by reusing existing designs and proposing workflow improvements to reduce lead times.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline;
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in electrical design or application engineering;
  • Proven experience in selecting low-voltage components and creating electrical layout designs;
  • Proficiency with electrical CAD tools such as AutoCAD and EPLAN;
  • Strong emphasis on attention to detail, a problem-solving approach, and a willingness to continuously learn;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and prioritize effectively;
  • Fluent English language skills—spoken and written;
  • Knowledge of European and international electrical standards (e.g., EN, IEC);
