About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform validation of Ovation Digital Twin and its Tools which represent mathematical models of plant equipment for power generation plant simulators
  • Prepare heat balance done for the project and coach newer member on this skill
  • Prepare boiler, Balance of Plant, Main Steam, Air & Flue Gas, gas & steam turbine, supercritical & electrical modelling as required for the various test scenarios to be executed.
  • Provide support to Ovation Digital Twin project team
  • Perform smoke test, first pass test and regression testing along with team and report findings.
  • Design and enhance test scenarios and test cases for different applications
  • Develop and maintain Hardware/Virtual test setups that are part of automated/manual test environment
  • Log defects in project defined defect tracking tool
  • Read and follow relevant project engineering practice and engineering standards documents
  • Collaborate and coordinate with developers and other testers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Coal/Combined Cycle Power Plant operation/modeling
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Experience with various testing methodologies (functional testing, system testing, compatibility testing, performance testing)
  • Knowledge and experience with agile development/testing methodologies
  • Bachelor’s / master’s degree in mechanical/chemical/electrical engineering (preferred)
  • Experience ISTQB certificate at Foundation level (preferred)
  • Experience performing stoichiometry calculation for various chemical reactions (for example fuel combustion) (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Distributed Control system (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
