About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect and develop framework solutions for semiconductor and electronics lab automation across Mixed Signal and RF domains
- Integrate National Instruments (NI) software tools to create comprehensive workflows for product characterization and validation
- Design solutions that enable seamless transitions from specification to automation, data acquisition, and analytics to enhance product quality
- Own system features or full systems, leading them from definition through successful release
- Collaborate with global R&D teams on feature alignment, dependencies, and customer-critical issues
- Develop reusable IP and features for scalability across systems and future opportunities
- Follow established software development processes and best practices for design and implementation
- Gather and incorporate feedback from business managers, system architects, and application engineers
- Provide technical leadership, guiding architectural decisions while balancing technical and business priorities
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for internal stakeholders and customer-facing teams
- Identify and drive architecture and process improvements to enhance long-term product quality and efficiency
- Represent customer requirements and ensure alignment with product priorities
- Lead resolution of critical issues and customer concerns
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering learning and development
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience in Python and C# for software development
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, software architecture, and design patterns
- Experience diagnosing complex technical issues and delivering effective solutions
- Knowledge of integrating software with measurement systems or hardware environments
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and collaborative development workflows
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
