About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop AI‑enabled software solutions that accelerate productivity across Emerson’s Test & Measurement business unit
Rapidly prototype and iterate on ideas, using AI to quickly learn new technologies and deliver working solutions
Integrate applications with enterprise systems (Microsoft ecosystem, Snowflake, Salesforce, Oracle)
Collaborate closely with product owners, analysts, and business partners to validate needs and deliver solutions
Build reusable patterns and guide others in effective use of AI tools to strengthen developer enablement
Navigate ambiguity confidently and adapt to shifting priorities while upholding high standards for software quality, security, and reliability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python and modern web frameworks)
Experience building applications that integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
Experience developing full‑stack applications, integrating AI capabilities into intuitive user interfaces and stable back‑end services
Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms, including containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search concepts
Proven ability to rapidly prototype solutions, validate approaches, and iterate quickly
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present and demonstrate technology to business partners
