About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Demonstrate technical competence in electrical design principles through both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Craft solutions that meet customer needs using Appleton’s engineered product portfolio.
Read and interpret schematics, elevation drawings, technical drawings and datasheets.
Develop, review and approve technical drawings and documentation packages.
Perform simple to intermediate electrical calculations, simulations, and risk assessments.
Serve as the technical expert to support our cross-function teams: sales, marketing, and operations.
Ensure projects and builds are in compliance with electrical codes and our product certifications.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product management, R&D, and operations to develop application solutions, support business development, and align with customer needs.
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering experience.
Practical electrical engineering experience with low voltage power systems.
Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Creo, EPLAN, or similar 3D software).
Ability to interpret technical documents and provide application support.
Excellent communication and project management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
