About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Demonstrate technical competence in electrical design principles through both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
  • Craft solutions that meet customer needs using Appleton’s engineered product portfolio.
  • Read and interpret schematics, elevation drawings, technical drawings and datasheets.
  • Develop, review and approve technical drawings and documentation packages.
  • Perform simple to intermediate electrical calculations, simulations, and risk assessments.
  • Serve as the technical expert to support our cross-function teams: sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Ensure projects and builds are in compliance with electrical codes and our product certifications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product management, R&D, and operations to develop application solutions, support business development, and align with customer needs.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering experience.
  • Practical electrical engineering experience with low voltage power systems.
  • Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Creo, EPLAN, or similar 3D software).
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and provide application support.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
