About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies, plans, policies, and procedures for technical leadership of Branson technologies.
- Lead a China organization responsible for material joining product design and development, sustaining engineering, and global welding programs.
- Maintain sound engineering concepts and standards in the development of new products, and improve existing products.
- Direct patent and technology license activities and negotiate agreements.
- Ensure establishment of quality controls and continued certification under ISO.
- Plan and implement human resources and resource allocation plans.
- Responsible for human resource development including recruiting, training, appraising, and compensation activities.
- Represent Branson Ultrasonics in negotiations with government or industry on technology matters.
- Develop strategic plans for portfolio management with Marketing.
- Support China/Asia Operations in technical support with valuable solutions.
- Represent Branson China/Asia in Global responsibilities including engineering symposiums and technology conferences.
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS Degree in one or more Engineering and Science field of study
- Relevant years of professional experience commensurate with the level of this position
- Knowledge of Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, and principles of business and technology.
- Experience as managerial contributions in Engineering, Research and Development within a manufacturing industrial enterprise.
- Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills required, and a proven track record of successful new product development.
- Able to travel 30% to meet business needs.
