About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and contribute to high‑level firmware architecture aligned with product and system requirements
- Develop, implement, and optimize firmware algorithms that support communication modules and switched‑mode power supplies
- Perform firmware unit testing, integration testing, and system‑level testing on prototype and production builds
- Collaborate closely with electronics and hardware design teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Create, execute, and maintain test cases for firmware validation and qualification, including cybersecurity considerations
- Analyze and troubleshoot firmware, digital, and analog circuit issues to support product quality and reliability
- Prepare, maintain, and review firmware‑related documentation, specifications, and design artifacts
- Participate in peer design and code reviews to promote quality, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing products across their lifecycle
- Contribute to team capability building by sharing knowledge and supporting the development of less‑experienced engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or any related field.
- Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in embedded firmware design and development
- Working knowledge of microcontrollers and digital signal controllers, such as ARM‑based platforms or equivalent technologies
- Experience developing, testing, and debugging firmware in a structured development environment
- Familiarity with firmware unit testing, integration testing, and system‑level validation practices
- Understanding of network and industrial communication protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet‑based or industrial fieldbus protocols
- Experience working in collaborative development environments, including Agile or iterative delivery models
- Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation to support development and compliance needs
