About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with other applications engineers, internal sales and/or customers to formulate project material and engineering estimates and final designs for customer applications
- Perform piping, equipment, and other take-offs from mechanical piping isometric, plan, elevation, and general arrangement drawings
- Work in Nelson Design Suites software to evaluate application requirements and create optimized designs and circuit layouts
- Work with project Leaders and other designers to produce technical drawings required for proper installation and documentation of the heating system
- Ensure all application designs meet applicable electrical standards and codes
- Follow all Emerson safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other applicable industrial technology experience
- Minimum 1-3 years of electrical or piping work experience
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
- Computer competency and software experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), and PDF editing software
