About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and edit product documentation according to company guidelines, including printed materials, electronic help, and other forms of documentation
- Ensure content is accurate, clear, complete, and focused on the customer
- Send documentation through review and implement feedback
- Collaborate with Documentation Project Managers and ensure projects adhere to established project management processes
- Collaborate with content experts to learn about products
- Act as content authority and guide stakeholders toward sound documentation decisions
- Work with project managers and engineers to improve the usability of documentation
- Support a range of documentation business needs, adapting to evolving organizational priorities
- Validate content meets functionality and quality requirements
- Prepare information for publishing
- Troubleshoot help systems as they are integrated into products
- Engage in feedback loops with internal stakeholders and customers to help identify opportunities to improve documentation
- Leverage AI-assisted writing practices to enhance productivity while applying human expertise to ensure content quality and accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- 2 or more years of professional technical writing experience
- Bachelors degree or higher in English, Technical Communication, or other major with writing-intensive component and/or science/technology emphasis
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Firm understanding of XML, DITA, and HTML
- Experience using terminology management and writing assistance tools such as Congree and TermWeb (preferred)
- Background working with software, hardware, or engineering-focused products (preferred)
- Experience contributing to usability improvements through documentation (preferred)
