About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and route medium-to-complex PCB layouts using core design tools, applying Emerson PCB design best practices, manufacturing guidelines, and engineering input.
Lead assigned PCB designs through the New Product Development process - from constraint setup, stack-up definition, and placement/routing through design reviews, DFM/DFT checks, and release.
Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to incorporate requirements while exercising judgement on signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and overall performance tradeoffs.
Acquire and apply knowledge of signal and power integrity best practices; support debugging with measurement and analyzer tools as needed.
Become self-sufficient in major commercial PCB tools while enthusiastically evaluating and adopting new technologies, techniques, and processes.
Accommodate occasional evening meetings for training, mentorship, collaboration, and design review, considering the global nature of Emerson’s operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, math, or similar hard or applied science.
0 - 2+ years of PCB layout or related experience.
Familiarity with one or more of: high-speed/high-density digital, high-power/high-current analog, or RF/microwave hardware design and layout practices.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
