About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Generate ideas, develop concepts, and create detailed mechanical designs for new products and product enhancements.
Perform hand calculations, tolerance analysis, and GD&T stack‑up in alignment with ASME Y14.5 standards.
Apply strong engineering fundamentals to address design, manufacturing, and performance challenges.
Provide CAD design support using Solid Edge or SolidWorks for New Product Development (NPD) and Sustenance projects.
Drive cost‑reduction and quality improvement initiatives while maintaining product performance and compliance.
Apply Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) principles to improve efficiency and ease of production.
Execute Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) using PLM systems.
Support prototype build, functional testing, validation activities, and evaluation of test results.
Create, manage, and maintain costed Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Teamcenter or similar PLM tools.
Balance multiple priorities effectively to meet customer expectations, quality requirements, and project timelines.
Communicate technical information, design intent, and project updates clearly with global and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in mechanical design, product development, or sustenance engineering roles.
Working knowledge of CAD tools, with preference for Solid Edge; experience with SolidWorks is also valued.
Understanding of casting, plastic, and/or forging design considerations.
Familiarity with GD&T concepts and ASME Y14.5 standards.
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats for a global audience.
Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes in a dynamic environment.
